Buchu is a small flowering plant native to South Africa where it grows in the Cape Region. The leaves of this plant contain essential oils.
These leaves are collected while the plants are blooming. The scent of these leaves is strong, mint, and camphor-like. Since ancient times Buchu has been used as an aromatic and medicinal plant. Buchu leaves are considered to be a detoxifying agent that helps the body naturally remove excess water.
