Bois de rose is also known as rosewood and is extracted from the Aniba rosaeodora tree. The scent is sweet, woody, fruity and floral. It is used in aromatherapy, air fresheners and insect repellents. It is native to Brazil and Peru although most sources are from other countries.
Blends with: lavender, orange, lemon, tangerine, sandalwood, cedar wood and geranium
Constituents: linalool, a-terpineol, linalool oxide, cineole
Uses:
- It is used in making soaps and perfumes.
